Piper is a Safari Web Extension that runs locally on your device to provide playback controls and a cleaner viewing surface on supported video pages. This page describes, in plain terms, what data Piper does and does not handle.
None. Piper does not collect, transmit, or share any data.
The only data Piper writes is your settings (six on/off toggles). They are
persisted via the standard browser.storage.local API to the
Safari Web Extension's sandboxed container on your device. They are not
synced via iCloud and never leave the device on which you set them.
Piper is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone, so this is provided for the avoidance of doubt.
If we ever change what data Piper handles, this page will be updated and the App Store listing will be revised before the new version ships.
